Who is Gav?

I’m honestly just a down-to-earth kinda guy. I love a good roast potato and proper big bear hugs! There are no sides to me, no hidden agendas, and I wear my heart on my sleeve.

That said, there is one thing I love over everything else, even the crispiest of roast potatoes and the biggest hugs, and that’s my family. Family is my life!

Dad to my amazing kids and headache to my incredible wife, haha! They’re my main drive. Everything I do is for them. Literally, everything. No matter what kinda day I’ve had, it’s always made better by a hug from my family.

What I love

the most

Being married to my best mate in the world is just awesome. Like most people, we’ve been through the mill, danced on the rainbow and experienced every emotion under the sun. Honestly? I can say that I love this woman more and more each day.

I just love it when we spend proper family time together, like going on a huge hike with our fur baby Bell Boo.

You know the feeling you get when there’s no wifi signal, and the kids are forced to actually talk to you, haha!

There’s no better feeling than knowing that you helped somebody out.

I love it when somebody tells me their good news. Listening to other people’s breakthroughs is just awesome.

All that said, starting a new Netflix box set with a bag of sweats is just golden. As I said, I’m a man of simple tastes, haha!

I loved my job as a teacher within the prison system; I mean, my spelling is terrible, and my handwriting is more like a scribble, but luckily I was teaching IT, so that didn’t matter too much, haha!

Still, the reward was huge, and it felt so good knowing that I was helping people and hopefully aiding in the change of a person’s direction.

Helping others is the key to owning your happiness. Whenever you can, just pay it forward. At least, that’s my take on it.
